The initial stage of most parrotfish is red, brown or grey, while the final stage is green or blue with bright yellow and pink spots.
Fish swimming at the bottom of the ocean;
When Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) discovered nine new species of fish swimming on the ocean floor, it was a very unexpected discovery.
The Pink Handfish is the name of the strange fish you see in the picture.
It is a member of the handfish family, which was first discovered on Australia’s Tasman Peninsula in 1999.
The peculiarity of this particular family of fish is that it uses its fins to walk on the sea floor instead of swimming in it. This is why scientists call it a “fish with a hand”.
To walk on the sea and ocean floor using its fins as hands.
Scientists believe these fish swam in the world’s oceans and seas 50 million years ago, but today they are only found in southern and eastern Australia.
The pink fish with a hand hasn’t been seen alive since 1999, so this is exciting because it will lead scientists to declare it a new species of fish.
A miracle of extinct marine life is the terrifying Dinkylostius fish;
This fish is one of the wonders of the extinct marine species Dunkleosteus and is considered to be a ferocious predator.
According to the description of this fearsome fish, it has quite strong teeth and can reach lengths of 9 to 10 metres.
Ancient sharks are to blame for the extinction of this fish.
They were completely defeated in fierce naval battles, and became bigger and stronger than they were.
It is one of the most powerful land and sea-biting species in recorded history. Fossil studies of the jaws of this fearsome fish have revealed that it can open and close them at the legendary speed of 1/50th of a second.
The longest spiral tooth belongs to the spotted whale.
This whale lives all year round at the North Pole. stronga style = The narwhal, or Monodon monoceros, is what it is known as.
It is one of only two whales in the Monodontidae family, the other being the Beluga whale.
The unique distinguishing feature of its males is a long, powerful tusk or spiral tooth that extends from the left upper jaw and measures two to three metres in length. This whale was first discovered in the Canadian Arctic and sporadically in the waters off Greenland. This omnivore eats When hunting for deep-sea prey in winter, flatfish are often among its victims as they descend 1,500 metres below the surface. For thousands of years, Inuit hunters in northern Canada, Greenland and Iceland have hunted these whales for their meat and ivory tusks.
Despite current concerns about its extinction due to climate change, its limited geographical range and its ad hoc diet, some of these processes are still underway. However, its distribution remains stable.
The Guinness Book of Records has recognised this whale as having the longest whale tooth in the world.
Animals without joints and other structures!
As well as living in the oceans, some sponge species can survive in freshwater environments such as lakes and rivers. It is complex in terms of its specialised functions and, unlike known creatures, it does not have joints, a skeleton or organs with specialised functions in its cells.
The creature that is deaf!
The fact that the octopus is deaf is a mercy from God, as some whales produce incredibly loud sound vibrations that paralyse their prey’s movements before they eat them and lose their hearing.
